Workflow Task Opening Error

Issue
When clicking “Open this Task…” from Outlook (for example from a SharePoint or 
workflow email), Outlook fails to open the task and may show an error.

Resolution
Clear the Outlook Forms Cache.
Steps
1. Open Microsoft Outlook.
2. Click File.
3. Select Options.
4. Click Advanced.
5. Scroll down to the Developers section.
6. Click Custom Forms.
7. Select Manage Forms.
8. Click Clear Cache.
After Clearing the Cache
• Close and restart Outlook.
• Open the email again and click “Open this Task…”.
Expected Result
The task should now open normally without the error.
